Welcome to the new month, and happy May Day (for folklore reasons, labour movement reasons or—clearly the most important reason of all—because tonight is the anniversary of That Night in the Hut from Flight of the Heron). As we go into the new month, have you got any particular writing goals or ambitions for May?

My check-in: Some plot planning for the next chapter of my Flight of the Heron/Kidnapped crossover longfic, and started writing with 300 new words. For the last few months I've been averaging just under two chapters a month, and I'm only just starting a new chapter now and at a point where the plot is getting a bit complicated, so I'm going to set myself the smaller goal of finishing one more chapter this month and see where that gets me.

I took out a Guardian fic that I was working on before another one grabbed my brain and jumped the queue, as fics sometimes do. Today I refamiliarized myself with it, made a bunch of minor changes, and added 68 new words. I also wrote one AO3 comment.
ETA: This month I hope to revise a fic that my beta-reader has just finished going over, polish (if there's time) and post a fic of which I have a complete first draft for a fic exchange, and finish the one I mention above. Or at least get some more work done on it!
