Write Every Day: Day 1

Check-in post for 1 May! Please say what day you're checking in for, to avoid confusion about timezones.

Welcome to the new month, and happy May Day (for folklore reasons, labour movement reasons or—clearly the most important reason of all—because tonight is the anniversary of That Night in the Hut from Flight of the Heron). As we go into the new month, have you got any particular writing goals or ambitions for May?

Tally for the month so far:

My check-in: Some plot planning for the next chapter of my Flight of the Heron/Kidnapped crossover longfic, and started writing with 300 new words. For the last few months I've been averaging just under two chapters a month, and I'm only just starting a new chapter now and at a point where the plot is getting a bit complicated, so I'm going to set myself the smaller goal of finishing one more chapter this month and see where that gets me.

Belated happy May day for you, too, and go you for plot planning! That sounds like good progress overall for you. ♥
I've had a bad case of writer's block since January I finally came fully out of last month, and am now slowly gaining momentum again with my writing ToDo-list. I have three shorter WIPs I need and want to finish so I can finally get to my main WIP. My plan for May is to get as far as possilbe with the shorter WIPs but also to get back into working at my WIPs on at least five days of the week, instead "only" working at my drawer fic like I did lately. I'm also working at establishing a new writing routine since I seem to finally have managed to improve my horribly broken sleeping schedule, and to integrate other writing tools more into my routine.
My tally:
Day 1: 48 words for a drawer fic
Day 2: 1904 words of meta (why is this so much easier to write than fic? ;op )
