Write Every Day: Day 1

Check-in post for 1 May! Please say what day you're checking in for, to avoid confusion about timezones.

Welcome to the new month, and happy May Day (for folklore reasons, labour movement reasons or—clearly the most important reason of all—because tonight is the anniversary of That Night in the Hut from Flight of the Heron). As we go into the new month, have you got any particular writing goals or ambitions for May?

Tally for the month so far:

My check-in: Some plot planning for the next chapter of my Flight of the Heron/Kidnapped crossover longfic, and started writing with 300 new words. For the last few months I've been averaging just under two chapters a month, and I'm only just starting a new chapter now and at a point where the plot is getting a bit complicated, so I'm going to set myself the smaller goal of finishing one more chapter this month and see where that gets me.

Your timeline is very handy, thank you! I keep thinking I should do something similar for GitN, seeing that I keep having to delve into that to work out other parts of Ewen and Keith's timelines, but I think I am not so systematic as you -- I tend to work out the one question I need an answer to, make a note somewhere, and move on.

The Wounded Name is another one I think I should do a timeline for. Not that I've written for it much, but I have the impression it's like FotH: every event happens on a well-defined date, and it could be reverse-engineered with a little effort.
