I really enjoy Tristram Shandy in small doses! It can be fun and entertaining, but sometimes the authorial voice becomes too much for me. I'd also highly recommend the modern novel, "Confessions of the Fox" by Jordy Rosenberg, which is a queer modern pastiche of Tristram Shandy.
