One of her grimmest. There are things I see in it now that I missed as a kid, like what Phaedrus' mother did rather than being sold to a new master - it's so obvious now why she did that. I like the headbendy feeling that the Dalriads are invaders and yet we're supposed to be on their side. I love Conory and his pet wildcat - obviously he's going to be an excellent protector of Murna and her son. And I enjoy the little joke about the Loch of the War-Boats, which it still is, of course, except that they're now nuclear-powered.
