Yes, I liked that bit too! I think the view that historical fiction, fantasy etc. can't be 'real' literature is still sadly prevalent (I keep finding Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell on the 'general fiction' shelves at bookshops, as if being good and deservedly well-respected means it's suddenly not all about magic), so I quite agree with her that that kind of categorisation is nonsense. :)
