:D I might check out some of Tey's other books now! I seem to have missed her out when I was reading more of other Golden Age mystery writers—I've read a lot of Christie and some Marsh but hadn't got to the Inspector Grant books.

As it happens I also went to a women's college, and I'm fond of similar settings in fiction (I just hadn't encountered physical training colleges in particular before)—but yes, heh, the murders are perhaps not the most realistic.

Hmm, modern fiction starring a real mystery writer as a detective sounds an... interesting idea. o_O
