Ooh, which one did you read? My favourite is A Glass of Blessings, and that and the books immediately surrounding it are probably her least cynical and most generally delightful, although complicated in their own way. The early stuff is interesting—Some Tame Gazelle is a very strange book in some ways—hmm, perhaps I should try reading the books in order to get that sense of how her writing develops.
