I did think using an actual Scots version might be better—but yes, Steeleye's harmonies are lovely. They're so good at using those multi-layered harmonies to add depth and resonance to a song. (Which reminds me, I haven't listened to 'Gaudete' yet this year! Must do that...)

And it's fitting for Guthrie and some of the other Scots in the story...
