Aww, that sounds like a really fun adaptation! I really appreciate the slow pacing of a lot of older TV, clunky as it might be. I hope you manage to find them. :)

And Kidnapped is definitely worth a (re-)read, whether you've already read it or not—Gutenberg has a fancy illustrated edition which is very nice.
