I'm rereading this review as I draft the Howards End section of my Yuletide letter, and I love all of it - it echoes my feelings about the book perfectly. I was especially struck by this passage:
It contains no overtly supernatural elements, and still manages to be one of the most compelling, beautiful and fitting ghost stories I've ever read.
Would it be okay if I quoted this sentence in my letter, since it puts my feelings into words better than I ever could? :)
