I like old books and/or books in historical settings. Britain between the mid-seventeenth and early twentieth centuries is my favourite period, and I'm especially into the Jacobite movement and fiction about it. I read a range of genres within that niche: adventure fiction, mundane domestic fiction, historical fantasy, Gothic horror, mysteries, school stories, etc., and I'm also especially interested in early queer fiction.
I don't have a single main fandom at the moment, but fandoms I am/have been in include Kidnapped, both the book by Robert Louis Stevenson and the stage adaptation by Isobel McArthur; the Raffles stories by E. W. Hornung; Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke.
Other interests which come up here from time to time include natural history (I especially like birdwatching, but other taxa are very interesting too even though I know less about them) and English and Scottish folk music.
