My check-in for day 5: I think I might give the longfic a little break, as it's being difficult for various reasons. I have another (short and very silly) Kidnapped idea that I'd like to write soon, and it'll be an encouraging thing to go and work on now; so today I wrote 800 words of that.

Writing something short and silly for a break sounds like a good idea! : ) I have done that too, in the middle of longfics.

300 words of longfic, total wordcount 148,100.

Still down with the lurgy, so just a couple of paragraphs today (5th). But the end of this exchange fic is in sight!

May 4th: about 1600 words on my HA fic.
May 5th: so far about 600 words on my HA fic.

May 5: About 1k this morning, so I’m checking in early!

It sounds like your Kidnapped idea is an invigorating success! 800 words right away is a great sign. :)

Day 5: 236 words, and what's even better, I managed to get the fic past a place where I've been blocked for a while.

I admire the fact that you can move from one fic to a different one to give your brain a break when a story is being difficult. I have trouble doing that, and I think it'd be a useful skill to develop.

On Da 5, I added 464 more words of unrepentant smut to Chapter 12, All Smut, All the Time. ;-)

Silly ideas are fun to write.

May 5th - 1043 words, a 1k challenge fic and edits to a fic for posting.

Day 4: 154 words
Day 5: 263 words

(both on the same side-story - of which I actually have three in progress, not the two I thought - which has got long enough that I need to pay attention to structure and figure out what I'm trying to do with it.)
