My check-in for day 5: I think I might give the longfic a little break, as it's being difficult for various reasons. I have another (short and very silly) Kidnapped idea that I'd like to write soon, and it'll be an encouraging thing to go and work on now; so today I wrote 800 words of that.

Yay! I've found Write Every Day really good for keeping up momentum and encouraging me to keep going with writing projects, and I'm glad you're finding it so too :D

I admire the fact that you can move from one fic to a different one to give your brain a break when a story is being difficult. I have trouble doing that, and I think it'd be a useful skill to develop.

On Da 5, I added 464 more words of unrepentant smut to Chapter 12, All Smut, All the Time. ;-)

It does take deliberate effort—usually I can only focus on one thing at a time, so it's giving myself permission to take a break and think about this other thing now. Anyway, hooray for the continuing unrepentant smut, well done :D
