In fact I had already remembered, but as Tumblr has just reminded me, it's ten years to the day since I first made my blog over there, which is the closest thing I have to a specific date of starting to participate in fandom. Well, it's been a long and varied time! I think myself of ten years ago would be pretty surprised, and I hope largely pleased, if she could see where I am, what I've achieved and what I'm doing in fandom now.

Congratulations! : D I can't remember when I first started to follow you? Probably it was for your book reviews, and it wasn't that long before you first read FotH...

My own date of starting to participate in fandom was when I first got a Livejournal in December 2006.
