I have just finished reading a Mary Renault novel and feel, predictably, absolutely awful about it. Time to distract myself with some Jacobites!

Next week we'll finish Part I with chapters 5 and 6.

I think it's not the foster-father question, but the mention of the heron which Keith made just prior to that! He doesn't want to explain the prophecy to Keith--or at least that's how I always read it.

Oh, that's true! I was confused because Keith was just changing the subject away from the heron and towards Angus in general, but I see how Ewen might not realise that.
