About that gay Kidnapped stage adaptation...

...here's the director talking about the book and the adaptation:

It has hidden within it, not so hard to find I suppose, a love story as well.

Quite right too ♥

I would also be ecstatic about a recording to listen to! GIVE ME ALL THE ALAN/DAVIE DUETS

The quarrel in the heather: that had damn better be a duet. A fully impassioned, full-throated, I-hate-you-I-love-you-I'm-dying-I-forgive-you duet.

It's traditional for the final number to use the full chorus, so it's possible they'll do some "we're finished now, that was the play" choral number -- that's a fairly common solution to that problem.

But yeah, as much as I want to see the production itself, I'd consider myself wealthy just to have the soundtrack. After all, a properly-composed musical puts all its major emotional beats into song, so you do end up with the greater part of the satisfying parts of the show on the album.

Edinburgh is a bit of a pain to get to, but I've made the trip for less! :D

Yay! Hmm, 11-22 of April is a very short-running show, isn't it? Or will it tour the country?

I wish that Gothenburg-Newcastle ferry were still running, sigh.
