No, sadly! I suppose what I would have found satisfying is an ending more like that of Kirsteen, combining success and singlehood; but I think Lucilla's social ambitions exist too much in the context of the conventional social world that Kirsteen is more prepared to defy.
Justified Sinner would be a tricky book to adapt, and I'm curious to see how it was done—I might check out that film.
This novel I actually have read and am trying to find a way to suggest encouragingly that I would love if you wrote fic for it without implying an obligation.
