Pleased to say that I called it re. Shakespeare having written a play about the Raven King.
And of course the whole thing is again presented as in-universe writing, though it certainly doesn't sound like the medieval chronicle it's (?) apparently presented as. A modern retelling? Anyway, Clarke is leaving plenty of room for this not to be a truly reliable account either.
