Thank you—atmosphere is something I really enjoy in other people's writing and care a lot about getting right in my own, so I'm very glad it's working well for you! And the Raven King as a cute baby felt a little incongruous but somehow appropriate :D

Babies tend to be cute when they are not crying and making noises, though. I doubt that even the Raven King himself, when being swaddled in cloths for the first time, would suddenly object to it on account of the cloths not being black.
