Flight of the Heron read-along?
Sep. 1st, 2021 06:41 pmThere's a chill in the air, the days are getting shorter and I feel like reading Flight of the Heron again. The Raffles read-along that's been running this year has been great fun (thanks
wolfiesulkingintheirtent!)—I've really enjoyed the opportunity to read the stories slowly in a group and discuss them in depth, and I feel like I appreciate them much better—and so I've had the idea of arranging something similar for FotH. We'd read probably two chapters of the book a week; I would do a post on here with my thoughts on the week's chapters, and then we could discuss them in comments.
What does everyone think? Is this something you—whether you're already a Flight of the Heron fan or want to read it for the first time—might be interested in taking part in?
On a related note,
garonne has recently posted an ebook of The Wounded Name, and
luzula an audiobook of White Cockades by Edward Prime-Stevenson. I'm delighted to see more Broster books and other Jacobite slashiness made more accessible, and both are highly recommended, of course. :D (I plan to make an ebook of White Cockades as well at some point, possibly when I've finished Imre).
