This book is so great.

Date: Feb. 5th, 2020 08:40 pm (UTC)But I (re)discovered the bit in the beginning of Chapter 5 where we see Keith's sad profile looking out over Loch na h-Iolaire, and we later find out that the reason he was looking so sad is that he was thinking of the consequences of the Rising for Ewen. : )

Here's another good one: Ewen counting their meetings when he's back at Ardroy and "suddenly his pulse quickened with pleasure--that made four, only four! No, of course, there had been two at Fort Augustus." : D
