Is Napoleon's dishonourable act historical? *curious*
No, it's something he does to one of the fictional characters. I was kind of curious about it, actually, because the other characters and the narrator all think it will affect his reputation for years to come, and I thought that putting such an important fictional event into the life of a real historical figure felt a bit odd for something that isn't alternate history. I don't know anything about the actual history surrounding this, so I wondered whether there might be some real equivalent, but I can't find anything.
