A while ago, osprey_archer posted this 'winter lights'-themed prompt list. Looking at the list, there immediately popped into my head a Flight of the Heron idea for the first prompt—and then I thought, how about I try to use the rest of the prompts to write a little series of winter-themed ficlets? I wasn't sure I'd be able to get them finished in December amidst Yuletide and RL busyness, but I persevered, and—thanks in large part to Write Every Day, which has been excellent for keeping up this kind of regular practice when I don't necessarily have a grand idea on the go—here they are. :)
