I also loved Clementina herself as a character, spirited, bold and noble—reading this book, I felt like I could really see where Charles Edward got it from. :D

Later she became very pious and ascetic, which is not exactly Charles Edward's style. But we can always hope the book is true to her character when she was young...

And I will try to forget the existence of the Jill sequel I saw mentioned in the comments!
