Welcome to the new month, and happy May Day (for folklore reasons, labour movement reasons or—clearly the most important reason of all—because tonight is the anniversary of That Night in the Hut from Flight of the Heron). As we go into the new month, have you got any particular writing goals or ambitions for May?

My check-in: Some plot planning for the next chapter of my Flight of the Heron/Kidnapped crossover longfic, and started writing with 300 new words. For the last few months I've been averaging just under two chapters a month, and I'm only just starting a new chapter now and at a point where the plot is getting a bit complicated, so I'm going to set myself the smaller goal of finishing one more chapter this month and see where that gets me.

Date: May. 2nd, 2023 02:25 pm (UTC)RL took over for the last couple of weeks so haven't been able to check in as much in April, but hoping May will be better writing-wise/checking in-wise :D General goals for this month is hitting my 20k word count target, finishing a few exchange fics, and maybe continue with my non-exchange fic.
Day 1 - I was able to bang out a good 4000ish words to my HA assignment and aiming to have a 1st draft finished in the next few days (RL willing).
