Let the rivers start a-flowing
Feb. 15th, 2019 06:06 pmToday I had the window open just for the sake of it all afternoon, for the first time this year. There are little clusters of snowdrops everywhere, the song thrushes and dunnocks are starting to sing, there is noticeably more daylight than there has been, and I'm starting to remember what summer feels like.
I don't have a 'favourite' season as such, but I love the feeling of hope for fresh things that comes with the changing seasons, and with spring especially. I spent the afternoon reading and researching interesting places for day trips by train in the summer, and I feel like I have more motivation to do things again. It's nice.
