Three Weeks for Dreamwidth and a sudden JSMN ficlet

3weeks4dreamwidth begins today, and I'm excited about it—I love Dreamwidth and doing fandom on Dreamwidth, and this looks like a lovely opportunity to celebrate this place and do more fandom stuff here. :)

For the festivities muccamukk is posting daily discussion/fanwork prompts based on tarot cards, and when I saw that today's prompt was this picture my first thought was—ahahaha, there must surely be a Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell fic in there! So, sidetracked for a moment from my main fic projects, I wrote this ficlet about Thomas of Dundale.

What a lovely ficlet, I like the descriptions of the ever-changing clouds and the leaves as writing+meaning!!! Tarot cards are definitely great prompts for JS&MN stuff! I like this page of swords, the focus on one particular bird feels very significant.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :D Yes, tarot cards certainly are very suitable for JSMN, and with the significant raven (?possibly—the tail shape doesn't quite look right for raven IMO, perhaps it's a crow, but never mind) in this one, it seemed the perfect thing!
